Training for War is not just an idea its is a way of life and death. The choice some people make either in joining the military, the militia or just training on their own is not one made lightly. The concept of being able to handle anything and everything life throws at you has been around since the dawn of man-kind.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
“If you wish for peace, prepare for war”
If all hell broke loose and your family were on the line could you take the steps necessarily come out on top? maybe , but if you don’t prepare for what could happen you may not be ready for battle. The Punisher is the perfect example. He lost his family despite having the skills to take on an army because he never thought his enemies would go after his family. Now he wages a war on crime to keep that same fate from befalling someone else.
How do you start to prepare for war if you don’t know who your enemy will be? You start with the basics get your fitness in order.
Increase your strength (at least be able to do twelve dead hang pull ups and carry 50 lbs)
Recommended program: P90x
Increase you cardio (get your Max V02 up , so you can run a mile with out getting tired)
Recommended program: Insanity
Become an athlete (increase your jump distance and height)
Recommended programs: Asylum or P90x2
Once you have the basics turn it up a notch, look into taking a martial art like Krav Maga maybe even some shoot lessons at the local fire range. If you think Frank Castle would know how to do it you probably should too.
